After a little research, I decided to sell larger belt buckles with a theme towards Day of The Dead and Mexican sugar skulls.  Although, this is hugely popular now, will it last? It seems to me that this kind of fashion has a certain lifespan, but i guess that’s debatable. Is it a fashion statement that is going to stick to a particular generation and “grow old” with them?

Is seeing a guy with a skull belt buckle in 10 or 15 years going to be like seeing a guy with a tribal tattoo today? Well I guess i have more questions than answers but I think i may know the truth.

Since this trend is still in its infancy and growing out of Los Angeles and New York fashion, it seems to me that its still got some time to grow.

As for the future…

With the droves of fear tactic news about the economy and its effect on businesses, its hard to weigh who is making out better between small and large businesses.

On one hand you hear about how all the “Mom n’ Pops” are in dire need of business and are closing their doors after serving the community for the past.. well forever. This news comes from friends, family, and your local network with all the gruesome first hand details.

On the other hand you have the “bloated corporate machine” that when fails, makes the front page of the other “bloated corporate machines” news paper. With this kind of message comes (although not as personal) the knowledge that hundreds of not thousands of people were laid off.

So with all the kinds of news and amount of it that is distributed who is more important and who is most effected.
